Wiley is proud of its commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in the legal profession. The Wiley 1L Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Scholarship provides a scholarship in the amount of up to $25,000 and a 2021 summer associate position to a 1L law student who is a member of a historically underrepresented group in the legal profession – including law students who are members of a racial and/or ethnic minority group, are differently abled, or are from disadvantaged socioeconomic backgrounds – and who has demonstrated academic, leadership, and/or professional accomplishments and a commitment to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.
In addition to Wiley’s traditional summer program, our 1L will have the opportunity to participate in the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity (LCLD) Scholar Program, which includes attending a professional development summit and access to various networking opportunities. LCLD is an organization that aims to increase diversity within law firms and in-house legal departments.
